Integration guide
Set up AdFrolic in a custom tool
The generic route is for editors, terminals and AI tools that do not have a dedicated AdFrolic package yet. It will use the same account, placement and reporting model as first-party integrations.
Before you start
You need an AdFrolic developer account. If you do not have one yet, create an account first. You do not need to create an advertising campaign.
1. Install AdFrolic
Use the command below when the your tool integration is available. Copy it exactly as shown.
# Planned universal installer
install-adfrolic-ads2. Connect your AdFrolic account
- 1Create an AdFrolic developer account.
- 2Register the product or installation when generic integrations are opened.
- 3Choose a supported placement type.
- 4Use the shared AdFrolic client to request structured creative.
- 5Report the impression lifecycle only when the creative is actually shown.
3. Check it works
Open your tool and make sure the AdFrolic surface appears without an error. If no advert is available, the surface may stay empty. That is normal.
Where ads appear
Your product must provide a clear, reserved place for sponsored content. Do not overlay adverts on user work, generated output or controls that were not designed for advertising.
AdFrolic only uses surfaces that the host application supports. We do not inject adverts over your code, prompts or editor content.
What AdFrolic does not read
Not sent to AdFrolic
Source code, open files, prompt text, AI responses, clipboard contents and terminal output.
Used for the integration
Your AdFrolic session, installation ID, supported placement, client version and limited technical context needed to serve and measure an advert.
