AdFrolic turns that pause, the moment while your AI works, into a small, clearly labelled sponsored message, and pays you a share of what advertisers pay for it. Not an interruption. Not something pasted over your code. A compact message in a surface that's already there, like a status bar, a statusline, or a sidebar.

How you actually get paid while your AI thinks

First, install an AdFrolic integration for a tool you already use. The VS Code extension and the Claude Code statusline integration are live today. JetBrains, Cursor, Gemini, ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot support is planned.

Then sign in once, through a browser-based device authorisation flow. Nothing is stored as a password inside the tool itself.

After that you just keep coding. At natural pauses, while Claude Code's statusline is idle, or VS Code shows a status-bar moment, an eligible, clearly labelled sponsored message can appear.

Advertisers pay for valid impressions. AdFrolic takes a cut for running the network, fraud checks and payouts, and you get a revenue share, tracked in your dashboard. Once your earnings mature past AdFrolic's fraud-review window, you get paid out through Stripe Connect.

There's no content to write and no audience to build. If it's a side hustle, it's about the laziest one going. The money comes from time your AI was already spending without you.

What this isn't

It isn't ads inside your code, your prompts, or your AI's responses. AdFrolic's integrations are built to keep source code, prompts and terminal output out of the advertising request entirely.

It isn't going to slow you down. Every implemented integration is designed to fail silently. If AdFrolic is unavailable, your tool just keeps working like AdFrolic isn't there.

It isn't a huge amount of money for any single session. It's a small, honest share of attention that already existed, adding up across a normal working week.

Does it matter if I'm on a free plan?

No. This doesn't depend on whether you pay for Cursor Pro, ChatGPT Plus, or a JetBrains Ultimate licence. It's about the tool having a natural pause, not about which tier you're on.
